Making anklets by yourself is something that you may find very interesting. Sometimes it is very hard to find from local shops the design or combination that you really want. So it is always a good idea of making your own. You can make your own design and use uncommon materials for making your own anklets. These handmade anklets will be very unique and fit your personal needs. In ancient cultures, people had already started this kind of hobby for religious affiliation and social standing.
So how can you make anklets yourself? What kind of material is required? The most useful materials for making anklets are color beads, keshi or seed pearls. The good thing about making anklets yourself is that you have full control of what colors to use and how these color beads should wired together. During summer time, you can create an anklet with sharp color beads, and in winter, you can make another one with warm color beads. You can make many different combinations as you want to match your dresses in different sessions.
To string them together, you can use elastic cords or beading thread. There are various textures available in the market. For example, you can select nylon, silk, or leather thread. Elastic cords are usually easier to use because it can stretch to fit any size. However, if you use beading thread, then you need to make sure that the length of your thread is long enough for your foot. That is all you need for making anklets yourself.
